Krabi Getaway

Krabi - a place that is coming up , but still less touristy as Phuket. I think quite a number of populations here are muslims, you can actually saw many ladies in tudung, or at least have their hair wrapped up. Their are also restaurants, food stalls that sell halal food.

Many websites state that May - Oct is raining season (tat's y it is low season too), i was worry whether it will ruin my trip or not....but thank god, everyday was a sunny day, except there was a day it is raining in Ao Nang. (but we were away island hopping).

The main road in Ao Nang

As it is low season, we get cheaper deal on accomodation & tour.

We stayed at Ben's House, a fabulous , cute little guesthouse. It is few months old, still new.

600 Baht (800 baht with ABF) per night for a Superior Room. They provide housekeeping everyday, 2 bottles of water everyday, and it has a swimming pool too! I got no complaint at all.

The Superior Room

View from the Balcony, overlooking Napotharat Beach

The swimming pool tat is share with the boutique hotel next door (Royal Nakara)

Islands Hopping

Ben's House also has tour arrangement services, we booked our "4 islands " (450 baht by long tail boat) & "Phi Phi Island" (1000 baht by speedboat) trip with them.

The "4 Islands Tour" (include Poda island, Hong Island, Chicken Island, Phranang Cave)

Poda Island

Poda Island

Tub Island (Note the sand strip in the middle of the sea, it appear during low tide, and 1 can walk over to the small island on the other side)

Sumwhere near to the Phranang Cave

Chicken Island (Koh Khai)

Vendors on the island

after bargaining, i bought a corn for 30 baht, & a BBQ drumstick (Gai Yang in thai) for 40 baht. (is expensive to me ) .

Phi Phi Island Tour

Bamboo Island

This cute baby gal was same boat with me, her parents leave her alone playing sands and go for photo session.. that is how a western child is being brought up to be independant i believe.

Maya Bay (it become so famous after movie "The Beach" was filmed there)

I think in total i spent about RM600 for this tour.. i did not fly there, but i used land transpot all the way up till Krabi.

It goes this way:
KL- Hatyai (abt 10hrs by bus)
Hatyai - Krabi town (abt 4hrs by bus)
Krabi Town - Ao Nang (30 min)

Ao Nang - Hatyai (abt 5 hrs by minivan)
Hatyai - KL (abt 16 hrs by train , and of coz....i'll definitely go for a sleeping berth)

Interview, interviews, interviewss...

After i had been through so many airlines interviews, i make my own conclusion on what do they actually look for in selecting a cabin crew.

-For gals, too young they don't take in , or if u still look like college student or fresh from college, passing % is low.
-Too thin or too fat, body built too small or too big, passing % low.
-Always keep eye contact with interviewers.
-Try ur best to keep smiling, at least enough to conver ur nervousness.
-Always follow the instructions, if they mention business attire, don't go in casual wear, if they said skirt, don't go in pants etc.
-Be humble
-If cabin crew is wat u wan, don't afraid of failure and rejections, not everyone got it in the 1st few attempts, at least for me is not.....

Using a quote of Ivan: "if she had stop trying, she might not get this now"

Cabin Crew Interview IV - Korean Air

The Interview for this airline is a little different . During the interview, you will be standing (yes....stand throughout the whole interview ), instead of sitting as for other airlines.

Similar to others airlines, they will start with group interview 1st. Abt 8 girls in a group, walk a round infront of interviewers and stand in a row at the marked position. They are 4 interviewers.

For those successful in Round 1, they will be invited to the Final Interview few days later. Final Interview will be the same, and also a english conversation test before u go into the interview room.

Korean Air has the simpliest interview, only ask u to self introduce ,follow by some questions from interviewer, no uniform fitting, no situations question, but they are also the toughest airlines to get in. I just like the uniform too much!!!
