The Beauty Onboard........as a pilot.

If you are girl, intelligent and trying hard to be in the aviation industry........why not try to go in by another channel, by applying to become a cadet pilot? other than the normal cabin crew.

A female pilot always attract my attentionsssSS...I look up to them. They are the roses among the thorns, and shine out in this male dominating industry!

Here are some real example:

1) Chananporn Rosjan
She is Ms Thailand 2005, studied Engineering, and now a captain with Air Asia Thailand

2) Capt. Norashikin Onn
The very first female captain in Malaysia

3) Kapt. Yapp
Malaysia first female fighter pilot

There are still alot more of the real life examples.....if u think u are capable to fly, go for it!!

Latest SQ interview

Recently SQ had been very active in their recruitment drive. Almost every 2 months there is a walk-in session in KL , SIN,and coming soon in Taiwan & Thailand!

There are a few differences in their interview nowadays as compare to the last time before they stop their recruitment due to bad global economy time.

As usual, they will start with document check. Then you will be group in 10 for height measurement, then wait for group interview.

In group interview, you'll be asked to intro yourself, then answer their 1 question.

If you survive this round, you will be going to the Grooming Check & uniform fitting (for gals).
I heard that in KL session , they will check your skin right next to the window, under the bright morning sun.

Games round & 1-1 interview is next. There will be some cards on a table, where you will be asked to work in team, and finds pairs of cards.
1-1 interview will be more on question regarding your ownself, backgrounds & scenario questions.

If you can survive this....again....another round...the Finale!!

2 to 3 interview. 2 interviewer , 3 candidates. Is about intro yourself again, and also discussion questions.

In interview rounds in Ipoh & Penang, the sequence of rounds are slightly different, and are less crowded!

Snowing is fun! but not when u are going to be onboard..

Every year from November to Febuary, most of those cold countries start to snow. It looks nice for people that is from summer country like me. But it will not be fun when I need to be onboard on a snowing day.

Reasons ?

1) Aircraft have to be de-ice before take off, so all the aircraft will queued to go through the deicing process, so there is waiting time. Imagine when the airport is a busy airport.

2) After deicing, aircraft proceed to runway for take off, again, queue for the turn to take off, waiting time again.
3) Sometimes got to wait for the runway to be clear from snow tat had piled up.
4) It the aircraft does not take off within certain time- frame, snow/ice start to pile up on aircraft body, time to go back for deicing process again, and repeat the whole thing.
All this process will simply take up to 3 hours and more, before the aircraft finally take off.
That's why I don't really like snowing if it is my flying day, especially if I were to be on a long haul flight of 13 hours, killing me

All walks of life..

Korean aunty & uncles : they like to grab newspaper when boarding, not for reading (maybe for some of them yes), but as a "coaster" for foot.

Korean youngster: Like to hold on to a super small screen and watch their video there.

Japanese: Likes beer and white wine

Caucasian : no porridge for them

China's Chinese: Must have rice for meal

Malaysian: always warm water or ask for their water bottle to be fill up
