Recently SQ had been very active in their recruitment drive. Almost every 2 months there is a walk-in session in KL , SIN,and coming soon in Taiwan & Thailand!
There are a few differences in their interview nowadays as compare to the last time before they stop their recruitment due to bad global economy time.
As usual, they will start with document check. Then you will be group in 10 for height measurement, then wait for group interview.
In group interview, you'll be asked to intro yourself, then answer their 1 question.
If you survive this round, you will be going to the Grooming Check & uniform fitting (for gals).
I heard that in KL session , they will check your skin right next to the window, under the bright morning sun.
Games round & 1-1 interview is next. There will be some cards on a table, where you will be asked to work in team, and finds pairs of cards.
1-1 interview will be more on question regarding your ownself, backgrounds & scenario questions.
If you can survive this....again....another round...the Finale!!
2 to 3 interview. 2 interviewer , 3 candidates. Is about intro yourself again, and also discussion questions.
In interview rounds in Ipoh & Penang, the sequence of rounds are slightly different, and are less crowded!

Snowing is fun! but not when u are going to be onboard..
Every year from November to Febuary, most of those cold countries start to snow. It looks nice for people that is from summer country like me. But it will not be fun when I need to be onboard on a snowing day.

Reasons ?
1) Aircraft have to be de-ice before take off, so all the aircraft will queued to go through the deicing process, so there is waiting time. Imagine when the airport is a busy airport.
2) After deicing, aircraft proceed to runway for take off, again, queue for the turn to take off, waiting time again.
3) Sometimes got to wait for the runway to be clear from snow tat had piled up.
4) It the aircraft does not take off within certain time- frame, snow/ice start to pile up on aircraft body, time to go back for deicing process again, and repeat the whole thing.
All this process will simply take up to 3 hours and more, before the aircraft finally take off.
That's why I don't really like snowing if it is my flying day, especially if I were to be on a long haul flight of 13 hours, killing me

All walks of life..
Korean aunty & uncles : they like to grab newspaper when boarding, not for reading (maybe for some of them yes), but as a "coaster" for foot.
Korean youngster: Like to hold on to a super small screen and watch their video there.
Japanese: Likes beer and white wine
Caucasian : no porridge for them
China's Chinese: Must have rice for meal
Malaysian: always warm water or ask for their water bottle to be fill up

Boring & Tiring Schedule....
I had been flying for 1 1/2 year...I heard everyone mention that they wish they can fly everywhere like me, but that is not TRUE!!
So far, i only been to 8 places- LA, NY, Atlanta, Honolulu, Seattle, Sydney, Frankfurt...and of coz Incheon (this is where the airline based). I'm like US Permanent Resident, at least 3 times that i enter in a month.
And the schdule is like shit! imagine u get LA, Atlanta, Hawaii in a month, is all long-haul!
I wonder is the schedulers lazy are they stupid, all the schedule pattern are just cut & paste and being repeated month after month among the crew.
Is time to change! U K ppl!!

Special Paseenger Onboard
I had got 13 of Special passenger onboard in my zone of the NewYork bound flight today.3 families. They are from Myanmar, but without any nationality, there are refugee. They come under the IOM organization. I am wondering ...why do they have to cross almost 1/2 of the globe to US because of war in their country or other reasons? Their have all kind of facial expression on their face...but no 'happy" expression at all. I wish them all the best...may be after 1o yrs, those small kids will become some important people...
Here are some information on refugees that i found from IOM website:
http://www.iom.int/jahia/Jahia/media/press-briefing-notes/pbnAS/cache/offonce?entryId=25500
They are from Thai-Myanmar border, Kareni (from Karen Tribe), and US "offered to resettle up to 50,000 refugees from Site 1 and three other camps in Mae Hong Son province. The decision followed earlier US decisions to offer resettlement to up to 100,000 other refugees from camps to the south in Tak and Kanchanaburi provinces. "

Wonderful Beaches!
When i layover in hotel, i usually turn on either MTV channel or CNN on TV, and oftenly i saw this ad on CNN.
I had not been diving after I left Club Med Phuket, which was 2 yrs ago...till May this year...I when to Mabul for 4 days, then 2 weeks later, another 4 days at Redang.

This always make me be grateful that I am a Malaysian, and more important, make me wanna to go dive or just a relax holiday at the beach.
I had not been diving after I left Club Med Phuket, which was 2 yrs ago...till May this year...I when to Mabul for 4 days, then 2 weeks later, another 4 days at Redang.
Mabul is awesome! the water is crystal clear, even when I am on the wood platform, I can see the fishes down in the water clearly!!
I didn't make it to Sipadan this time as I decide to join the trip last minute, there is no permit for me. But I'll sure be there again, with AOW , and staying in a better resort :P
This Redang trip, I was going as a leisure diver, while Ivan went to get himself certified as OW diver. We stayed at Berjaya Redang.
By the time the ferry reach jetty, I still can't feel that myself was on Redang, as tat is not the Redang tat i used to know. Coz we were transported to the resort on bus, going through the local village, where the school, police station is.
Is not like the long beach area where u step on the sand once u arrived, then only the resort compound. Here is resort compound 1st, then only you see the beach, hiding behind.
Because is it at a bay area, there are nothing to see when u snorkel at the sea infron of resort, only sand....even the sea water is cyrstal clear. And is quite at night...without the normal wave sound that I used to listen too when i am at the long beach.
